The Front Offices at SH Hotels & Resorts are at the heart of every hotel, and our front-of-house staff are some of the most important members of the team, because they are the first to meet our guests. They also have the first opportunity to provide them with impeccable service, and often to reflect a first glimpse of the brand’s best self. 

 

We’re current searching for a warm, welcoming, articulate Guide (Front Desk/PBX Agent) at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay to ensure that every guest’s experience is relaxing and effortless—at arrival and departure and all through the stay. If you love meeting new people, being of service, and helping to grow a great brand, we’d love to chat.

Successful candidates will..

  • Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
  • Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to understand requests, responds with appropriate action and provides accurate information such on outlet hours, special VIP programs, events, etc.
  • Listen and extends assistance in order to resolve problems such as price conflicts, insufficient heating or air conditioning, etc.
  • CompletesVIP registration process by inputting and retrieving information from computer system,
  • Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guest needs. Codes electronic keys.
  • Properly accounts for complimentary services provided by the resort, for the guest.\
  • Assist guest with check out payments or charges.
  • Accept and records vouchers, credit, traveler's checks, and other forms of payment.
  • Receive special requests from guests, and forwards requests to appropriate associates for decisions and actions.
  • Promptly answers telephone and web inquiries.
  • Remain calm and alert especially during emergency situations and heavy resort activity.
  • Plan and implements detailed steps by using experienced judgment and discretion.

 

Qualifications

About you...

  • Passionate about hotel operations and guest service with a minimum of 1 year of similar work experience. 
  • Ability to speak a secondary language is a plus.   
  • Experience in guest or customer service, a team player, hard worker, multi-tasker and detail oriented. 
  • Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
