OUR OPPORTUNITY

The Director of Sales is a vital part of the sales operations within SH Hotels and Resorts. This individual in this role will identify opportunities to optimize performance and create value by improving existing processes, encouraging innovation, and driving necessary change. The individual will implement strategies, identify useful sales tools, manage the sales processes, and analyze data to understand how to improve sales performance. The role oversees sales programs, policies, development and training, and major sales initiatives. The Director of Sales has strong leadership aptitude and can mentor and assist sales teams to achieve the utmost success.

Qualifications

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Streamline and implement sales strategies to help drive revenues and top line for properties.
  • Seek to improve performance and productivity by eliminating barriers within processes; identify obstacles and plan solutions.
  • Oversee and put into effect policies and standardization of processes; create documentation and templates to better help streamline processes across hotels.
  • Assist in creating sales reports and guides.
  • Track sales KPIs and key data points.
  • Oversee sales tools and CRM; manage and optimize sales systems.
  • Implement training and development plan.
  • Support new hotel openings from a sales perspective.
  • Facilitate onboarding and transitions of hotel sales leaders.
  • Coordinate sales enablement tools; content management, collateral, and sales communication.
  • Provide regular updates to VP of Sales, highlighting sales performance, opportunities, challenges, and recommended action.
  • Work together with sales leaders, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to inspire others; advocate sound business decisions; demonstrate honesty and integrity; lead by example.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

REQUIRED:

  • Based in Miami at SH Headquarters in Coconut Grove
  • Prior experience in a quality luxury hotel brand; specifically, in Sales & Marketing.
  • Extensive hotel sales experience within the luxury market; demonstrated strong leadership and selling skills; and proven achievements in selling, optimizing guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
  • Must possess strong presentation skills, exceptional through capabilities and a strong business acumen.
  • Requires strong time management skills. The ability to be organized and efficient helps them stay on a timeline.
  • Experience successfully leading in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing demands.
  • Strong interpersonal, team member relations and leadership abilities, a flexible, dynamic and positive demeanor.
  • Must function optimally in a team environment and possess strength in strategic planning.
  • Well versed in Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management financial aspects.
  • Technically savvy and familiar with Sales & Marketing operating/budgeting systems and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Professional & appropriate business appearance and demeanor aligned with the SH brands and culture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in a field of study related to this profession; 4 years of experience in a comparable position and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

PREFERRED:

  • Prior experience with Delphi and HMS or similar Property Management System.
