Position Overview
The Seedlings Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Seedlings Aloha Camp and all children’s programming.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging experiences for children.
- Train and support team members in delivering children’s programming and interacting with guests in an engaging and respectful manner, ensuring that all team members embody the spirit of aloha and adhere to appropriate protocols.
- The ability to develop relationships with guests/members, return guests, group contacts, etc., to provide maximum, personalized guest service.
- Must be able to hire Seedlings Adventure Guides and properly train procedures, policies, regulations, 1 Hotel service standards, and service/Forbes skills.
- Coordinate special events, holiday activities, and year-round activities.
- Ordering of supplies for the Seedlings department.
- Responsible for the appearance and safety of the Seedlings facilities.
- Responsible for operating within the established budget and for assisting with the creation of the annual budget.
- Collaborate with the resort’s Daylife team to organize children’s events, themed evenings, and special celebrations, incorporating Hawaiian traditions with the guidance of Hawaiian Culture Manager/Ambassador to create memorable guest experiences.
- Serve as a leader of programming activations for guests, adults and children.
- Solicit feedback from guests regarding Children’s programming and activities and utilize this input to continuously improve and refine offerings to better meet guest expectations and preferences.
- Conduct regular training sessions for team members to enhance children’s program, awareness, and understanding.
- Work with necessary departments to ensure the proper marketing and promotion of Seedlings and family activations.
