We’re currently in search of a Director of Food and Beverage who shares these values and will champion them at 1 Hotel Toronto.

 

As the Director of Food and Beverage, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our F&B department. Reporting to the General Manager and collaborating as a member the Executive Team, you'll oversee daily operations, manage leaders, maintain quality standards, and strive to exceed guest expectations, all while fostering a positive work environment and driving revenue growth in all venues.

Qualifications

About you...

  • Extensive experience in food and beverage management within the hospitality industry is essential, preferably multi-venue in luxury or lifestyle hotels.
  • An expert in food & beverage operations, a strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
  • A proven record of success in managing F&B operations, achieving financial targets, implementing cost-control measures to ensure department profitability.
  • Strong leadership abilities for effectively managing and motivating a diverse team of F&B professionals to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • A deep understanding of culinary trends, menu engineering principles, and food and beverage pairing is important for creating innovative and appealing menus that align with the hotel's brand and target market
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations is critical for ensuring compliance with local health codes and liquor laws.
  • The ability to think critically, adapt to changing circumstances, and resolve operational challenges effectively is essential for successfully managing a dynamic and fast-paced F&B environment.
  • Flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
